WELCOME HOME LAVERNE!!!

It seemed like forever but forever has come to an end. Our nine week old pure-bred Boston Terrier puppy Laverne (there is no Shirley) has come home to CorsiWorld.

Day 1 has brought lots of adventure. The car ride home from Cloverdale was a bit stressful for the little peanut, she didn't know what to make of the car or the long ride without her siblings but like a good girl, she didn't cry. When we got home we set her loose in the living room and the cats were perplexed... "what the hell is that thing" was written in her eyes. She figured out her crate and her pee area (she only had one accident in the living room otherwise she's 4/5) and played non-stop with her new toys. After an hour she got sleepy so we put her in the crate and she was out like a light for two hours. She got up, played some more, ate some more, pee'd some more and then went back to sleep. She cries for a few minutes when she's up and can't get out of her crate but that doesn't last long.

Yep, we are happy to say, this is the start of a beautiful friendship!!!

See the latest pics of Laverne HERE and check out her brother Bozlee with the Forbzez HERE.

Go Bostons go!!!

JANE! GET ME OFFA THIS CRAZY THING...

...called life!

We still can't believe it (no we are not pregnant), it's still sinking in (no we did not win the lotto), and each time we say it, we break out into little smiles.

WE BOUGHT A TOWNHOUSE. We signed the papers last night and for lack of a better term, it's all "official".

That's right, we are moving off the Shore into a much bigger home in the area known as East Van... or Strathcona to some... or "Railtown" to the cool kids. Now it's not the greatest area in the world (some might say sketchy but its on the up and up thanks to the Olympics) but the neighbourhood is quaint and the house itself is awesome... we love it.

More details and ofcourse pictures to follow, just wanted to get it out there and give a big thanks to BIG E for hooking us up with this place!

Goodbye 1 bedroom apartment, hello 3 bedroom townhouse.

CORSIWORLD GOES CAPITAL!

Not the capital of Canada, just the capital of our province... B.C.

Michelle and I spent a wonderfully relaxing weekend in Victoria, why? It's really our last weekend of freedom for a while as next weekend, LAVERNE in coming home.

Anyway, we spent two glorious (mostly rainy) days enjoying the local restaurants, shopping downtown, getting kick ass massages & facials and ofcourse taking lots of pictures. Now I'm sure it rained here, but man was it raining hard all of friday and saturday but finally on saturday night it started to clear and we got a pretty cool SUNSET to show for it.

I've only spent minimal time in Victoria (Michelle used to live there while attending Royal Roads) and I quite enjoyed it, it's small and there are a lot of rummies but it's a cool town with a lot of great museums, restuarants and lounges to visit. It's nice to be able to sum up a city in one line isn't it?

Anyway, check out pics from our weekend HERE!

NERDONAUTS UNITE!!!

Well, last night it happened. Last night I slipped ever closer to that dark abyss known as "total & complete nerdiness" with no hope of escaping. How could this happen?

Because last night I attended the first meeting of COMIC BOOK CLUB.

Our buddy BUCKLEY decided that since most of our girlfriends/wives attend a monthly book club (which is true, Michelle has been part of the Book Club for over six months), the guys should do the same. But instead of novels, we will read Comic Books.

We'll get together, order pizza, drink beer and talk comics and that's what we did... eat pizza, drink beer and talk comics. The first book to get the spotlight was the classic THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS, next month we will read IDENTITY CRISIS and KINGDOM COME (on a bit of a DC kick for the moment). The nerdiness level was high but the good times were had and it was cool to see what everyone liked or formed opinions on in the group... just like a real book club!

I must admit I felt extra geeky, able to pull of names of books, writers and artists at the drop of a hat when a question was asked. On the list of 20 books to read, I had read them all except one, ONE! I was feeling super-nerdy for that but hey, what other group could I do that in and not get luaghed at.

Thanks Buckley for coming up with the group and hosting the first meeting. I can't wait for the next one!

Pics of utter geekiness can be found HERE!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CLINT!

It was a St. Paddy's Day to remember as our good friend Clint (also known as "Clintone" or "Shortknocker" among other things) celebrated his birthday in style. Surrounded by good friends, amazing food (spicy pinwheels, pizza, bacon wrapped water chestnuts, key lime tarts and Peanut Butter Pie) and more booze than you can shake a stick at, we partied till the wee hours and all left with smiles on our faces. Happy birthday buddy!

You can see the green-infused pictures HERE!

SEND IN THE CROWN!

Huzzah!!!

It's a a good day... a great day! Why? My toothy adventure has come to an end after almost six months of turmoil.

First came the BAD NEWS

Then came the ROOT CANAL

It continued with WISDOM TEETH REMOVAL

Then I got a TEMPORARY CROWN

Finally it is done, now I have a gold tooth, the pain and discomfort are all gone, I have some kick ass Bling Bling on my jaw and all is right in my mouth.

Thank the maker that this is all over. If I've learned one thing, it's take care of your teeth and marry a woman with Dental experience... thanks Michelle. I loves ya!

THE RETURN OF LAVERNE

An exciting weekend for us as we got to visit our Boston Terrier Puppy LAVERNE again. She's twice as big as she was last visit and one hundred times cuter. Three more weeks and she is coming home with us but for now, check out the new pics of Laverne HERE!

THE CZAR

As you know, I play MR. AMBASSADOR on the podcast TIKI BAR TV and as you know I work with artists who like to draw charicatures of me as HULK or other CARTOONY FOLK.

Well my buddy Frank, drew me in full Russian Military Dress and presented it to me as a long lost relative of Mr. Ambassador. Simply known as "THE CZAR" I feel he is Mr. Ambassador's father who disappeared right after the L'il Ruskie was born since he was drunk at birth... or something like that.

Anyway, thanks Frank. I think the Tiki fans will get a kick out of this!

Not my year...

As you may recall, last year I had a root canal, in January I had my wisdom teeth pulled and in February I had Kidney Stones. Well now it's march and nothing kicks off a memorable month like some sort of medical procedure for me. On March 1st I got fitted for a crown, it's a long procedure as they shape your tooth and "install" a post to place the crown on. They take a couple molds of your tooth and ship it off for the crown to get made. At the same time I had two tiny fillings dealt with and one massive one that wasn't workable until the wisdom teeth came out. All in all, I was in the chair for 2.5 hours, frozen to the gills with all sorts of needles, drills and hoses hanging out of my mouth.

If there is a shining beacon in all this medical hell, it's the fact that in 10 days I will be fitted with a gold tooth. Sure it's a back tooth that no one will see unless I am eating their face but I will know it's there. Big Daddy has some bling in his mouth... BOOYA!

Otherwise, life in CorsiWorld is going well, I still have some residual kidney pains that flare up once in a while but Michelle has been awesome at taking care of me and poking fun at the same time...

Sebbers went back for the vet as he didn't seem to be improving with the insulin, turns out he needs two shots a day rather than one but even after a week, the bloodwork shows an improvement in his numbers. He seems to have more energy now on this new system, so let's hope it continues.

Michelle continues her night course and enjoys being back at school, I support her endevour for continued education and thank god everyday that I am no longer in school. Unless ofcourse I can skip class with Kevin and Jeff to head to taco time for a burrito, wait... that was 17 years ago.

Dammit, now I feel old. I'm out.

Here's the view from my office, no story behind it, just wanted to post it.

Smell you later!
