THE LAST POST OF 2006

Merry Festivus! Christmas has come and gone in a blur of family, food, friends and many good times. Personally, the best gift I received were my Superman pajamas (I will spare you all the pictures) and for Michelle, it had to be her Tiffany Bean Necklace (yes, I finally got her one after years of hearing about it).

We attended a few family gatherings (updated XMAS 2006 PARTY PICS HERE) as well as saw some old friends. There's also a few more parties to attend before the end of 2006 and the festivities to ring in the New Year.

I also created another new picture set called CORSIWORLD. It's one of Michelle and I together, funny, of all the sets I've created, I've never made one for the two of us. Check it out!!!

finally, I thought the best way to end the year was to share a pic of my dad... asleep on the couch... on Christmas Eve. Classic!

Enjoy the rest of the Holidays and we'll see you in 2007!!!

CALDER CHRISTMAS 2006

Christmas time is tradition time and one of our favorite traditions is the CALDER CHRISTMAS PARTY (see last year's pics HERE!).

What the heck is a CCP? Well, our good friend ALISON CALDER opens her home to all her friends and family for a fantastic evening of Potluck Dinner, Games and Secret Santa Presents. Yes, it's an awesome time and each year goes down in the history books as a party to remember.

This year Ali & Todd opened their home to 30+ people who were all filled with the Holiday Spirit!

1) We had a great potluck dinner (complete with Wings, Meatloaf, Carrots, my world famous DIJON/MAPLE HAM and other tasty treats!
2) We had games: the guess the charicature game, the laundry pin game, the life saver/toothpick game, and the infamous suck/blow card game.
3) We had a fantastic Secret Santa Present Exchange. I got A Spider-man Comic Book CD-Rom and Michelle got a Wine for Beginners Book.

All in all, it was a memorable night and here are the pictures to prove it! Thanks again to Ali & Todd for a Festivus-good-time!

NERO & BLANCO

It's been a busy week prepping for Christmas and all the last minute shopping that goes with it. Luckily, I won $126 with LOTTO 649 so that was a nice early Festivus Gift. I also put together another set, this one with all our BLACK & WHITE shots, check it out when you get the chance.

PARTYTIME!

It's been a busy December thus far and Christmas is still over a week away. Michelle had her staff function, I had an office party, Michelle's bro had his annual open house and last night we partied till the wee hours with Clint & Andrea. Nothing says Christmas like lights, baking, booze, dancing and poker!!!

Captured moments of festivity... HERE!

STOOPID CELL PHONE

So last week I lost my cell phone. It was rough, I use my cell phone a lot during the day and not having it around was like trying to play the piano with no hands. I looked everywhere, home, work, car, shops I'd been to, parking garages, lost & founds... nowhere, the phone was gone.

So I needed a new one and if any of you are with Telus Mobility you know, getting out of a pre-existing contract is like being chained underwater and trying to solve The Da Vinci Code in under five minutes. I tried every trick in the book, arguing like a John Grisham Lawyer to plead my case and lower costs. No luck. I was going to have to pay the piper if I wanted a new "halfway decent" phone. You see I could get a crappy "joe schmoe" phone for cheaper but what the hell am I gonna do with a "joe schmoe" phone? I am not a "joe schmoe phone" kinda guy! So I emptied my wallet of "cash money brutha" for a good phone and got myself a RAZR.

With new phone in hand and funds depleated, I started the next chapter of my life's Cellular Adventure with a smile. Then the penny dropped... Michelle found my old cell phone. It was in the car, wedged between the driver's seat and the handbrake, in an area both I and a workmate looked at. It wasn't there days ago but it was there now... ofcourse. DAMMIT! Now I have two and will sell one but that doesn't take the sting of bitter reality away. While all this is happening to me, I can only think of one thing... "damn you Telus".

It's easier to get mad at "the man" rather than yourself.

SOFIA'S BAPTISM

While we are not the most religious family (I'm talking Corsi Major here, not Michelle and I which aren't religious at all), it is tradition in our family to get Baptized. So today, Ida and Albert's daughter Sofia Maria Aiello was baptized in front of friends and family. A great reception followed at Quattro, then angels descended from heaven and welcomed her to the world with a symphony of harps and trumpets. Afterwards they stayed for some wine and grilled chicken! Proper!

Here are a few pics from the event if you are interested... click HERE!
