SPOTTY TRANSMISSION...

Over the next week or so, updates on Corsiworld are going to be spotty since we are now officially out of "Awesometown" and as the countdown to Singapore continues, our available time gets less and less... available. Couple things though...
  1. The Awesometown Yard Sale was a hit, we got rid of a lot of stuff and made a little "walking around" money for Singapore.
  2. The move and clean-up of the house is complete, thanks to Victor, Lesley & Carla for helping out over the last two days and to Tom & Angela for providing a safe haven and meals for us while all hell broke loose at our place.
  3. Pinchy is one piece of Corsiworld that will remain in Awesometown as he is with his new family (Steve & Galina) and seems to be doing well! Thanks to them for giving the Pinch a new and loving home.
  4. Four more sleeps and then the new adventure begins... stay tuned.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY!

Despite all the craziness in our world right now (with all the packing, moving, purging & planning), I want to take a moment and acknowledge the birthday of the loveliest lady in my life, my wife Michelle. This whole job search/global adventure has put a lot of the spotlight on me for the last few weeks but Corsiworld is a two-person operation and people sometimes forget that all these shenanigans affect her just as much as it does me. Michelle has been awesome, she's cleaned, she's packed, she's organized, she's prepped, she's dealt with issues, she's done it all and she's still smiling and excited for the adventure in Singapore.

I couldn't ask for a better partner in crime and a better person to start a new life chapter with. I love you Michelle, I hope you have a great birthday and I'll see you as soon as I publish this :-)

TIKI BAR TV - 4th Anniversary Party

I went to meet my castmates and good friends down at the SS TIKI for two days of filming and then joined them for the 4th Anniversary Party of the Podcast in what will surely be one of my most memorable nights in recent history.

As you may or may not know, I play the evil MR. AMBASSADOR in the podcast known as TIKI BAR TV and for four years, this Podcast has built up quite the cult following. Doctor Tiki (Jeff) the leader of the band decided along with his Producer and sometime Guest Star, Tiki Tosca, to hold an Anniversary Party and invite the fans. And did the fans come? Yes, to both the main party and the after ticket party. It was surreal, when I took the stage as Mr. Ambassador, I was booed... BOOED! I couldn't stop smiling as it was an awesome feeling, then I cracked a joke in what I like to call "the worst russian accent ever" and the crowd gave a big laugh, it reminded me of my old improv days. The main party went till about Midnight and then we moved to the "After Party" at the Tiki Bar Set! Johnny Johnny slung drinks all night long and the 70+ tiki fans who came had a great time! Needless to say, the party was still going strong when I left at 5am.

Happy Anniversary TIKI BAR TV, thanks for letting me play in this great world and thanks for a great party!

QUESTIONS ANSWERED...

A lot of people have been asking a lot of questions about our upcoming Singapore adventure, so I thought I'd share my thoughts:

WHY LUCASFILM SINGAPORE?
Well, like most guys my age, at one time or another, I was (and still am) a huge STAR WARS fan and when I saw the original movie at a young five years of age, it made quite the impression on me. So much so, that I vowed at one time or another I would some how and in some way, work on STAR WARS. Two years ago, I interviewed with Lucasfilm San Francisco and met withy legendary producer Rick Macallum (cool nerd moment for me) for a potential job and then last year, I almost accepted a job working on the CLONE WARS animated series but the deal didn't work out. Finally, when I lost my Nexon job this year, I contacted Lucasfilm and was informed of the position in Singapore. I thought to myself, "third time lucky" and started the ball rolling.

WHEN DO YOU START?
My first official day is May 18th, we arrive in Singapore on the 12th.

WILL MICHELLE BE ABLE TO WORK?
If she wants to yes. She automatically gets a "Dependent Visa" through me which allows here to live in Singapore and look for work. If she finds a good job and that company wants her, they change the "Dependent Visa" to a "Work Visa" in quick 48-hour process. Singapore is all about people coming to work there, their Visa process is quite quick and painless unlike some other countries in the world (I'm looking at you USA).

WHAT ABOUT YOUR HOUSE?
We are putting it up for rent and we are putting it up for sale. Whichever happens first, wins!

WHAT ABOUT THE DOGS?
Well, there are conflicting reports on whether Singapore is a "dog friendly" city so they are staying behind for now and potentially forever. Luckily, my parents are taking them, they have a big backyard, my stepmom is always home and they both love the beasts. Now, if we find out that Singapore is a great place for the dogs, we have some thinking to do. They have to fly around the world in crates, with a couple stopovers (without us), then once they get here, a minimum of 30 days quarantine no matter how healthy they are. Then there's the heat, our Bostons overheat easily and that mixed with the brutal travel may not be the best for them. Worst case, they stay here, stay happy and we miss the hell out of them.

WHAT ABOUT THE CAT?
Our Awesometown neighbors Steve & Gemina were looking for another cat and luckily fell in love with "the Pinch" when they came to meet him. He will be going to a great & loving home only a stone's throw from his current abode.

WHAT ABOUT ALL YOUR STUFF?
Other than clothes, a few personal items, some camera & gaming equipment and some cook books, the rest is being sold, that's right, we are getting rid of everything. Interested in something? Check out our continually growing sale here: CORSIWORLD ONLINE SALE

WHEN WILL YOU BE BACK?
Time will tell...
