    Say hello to ISABELLA

My cousin Pietro and his lovely wife Yani welcomed their daughter Isabella to the world. Michelle and I are going to visit them in Florida sometime in 2006 and we couldn't be happier to see another member of the extended Corsi family (a Giardini in this case) join the clan.

    MERRY CHRISTMAS

Here at the Corsi Household, we still celebrate Christmas but I know a lot of people don't and there are a lot of different "Seasonal Holidays" out there so this one is for you. My nephew Lance found this great pic that wraps up all those holidays feelings into one Christmas theme and I've presented it here. Merry Christmas Everyone, we're off to drink Rum & Egg Nog with the Pope-monkey!!!

Oh and NAPOLEON DYNAMITE wants to sing you a Christmas Carol. Check it out:

    THE CORSIS GO LOMO-LOCO

For the last few months we've been enjoying a new hobby, Lomography. Like photography but with a good ol' fashioned Lomo camera, well two in fact, the COLORSPASH and the FISHEYE. Michelle and I are still getting used to what works and what doesn't with the Lomo but we're having fun experimenting with them. I've taken some selects and posted them on FLICKR. Check them out!!!

    LEGENDS OF THE SUPERHEROES

You gotta see this to believe it! In the seventies when the JUSTICE LEAGUE cartoon was uber-popular, some halfwits decided to create a Justice League live-action movie called LEGENDS OF THE SUPERHEROES. You gotta see these costumes! This is just cheesy crap at it's best. The topper it that Adam West and Burt Ward reprise their roles as Batman & Robin and they look awful. Relive the seventies with this utterly awful movie.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY ICE

I just wanted to give a shout out to my buddy Ryan Marley who is celebrating his birthday today. Ryan and I met in the early nineties and became fast friends as we both went to BCIT for the Radio Broadcasting Program... we both did not end up in Radio Broadcasting but Ryan works in Television while I am in Video Games, there is a Radio connection in there somewhere. Anyway, Ice (as we like to call him) splits his time between the West coast and the Big Smoke so I don't get to see him as much as I'd like, but the love and respect is still there. Happy birthday man! Hope it's a good one!!!

    THE RED DOOR

Last night, Michelle surprised me with a much belated Happy Birthday dinner with a few friends. We went to THE RED DOOR on Granville and it was awesome! They call themselves a Pan Asian Grill and it's true, all the Thai, Vietnamese and Chinese flavors you love are there in original and unique dishes. I recommend the Black Pepper Scallops, Chili-crusted Calamari and Dragon Fire Chicken! Check out the link and try them when you have the chance.

    DODOSVILLE

My buddy Peter has always had a point of view on any topic worth discussing. He loves to debate, to discuss and to talk about this crazy little world of ours. The best thing about him is that he has a pretty good head on his shoulders and agree or disagree with him, his thoughts and opinions are intelligent. Well, Pete's set up his own Blog called DODOSVILLE where he can share his thoughts and he describes the Blog in his own words as: "A place for people like me, who look around at this world and wonder - what the f@!k have we done?" check it out!

    BEST BUY??? BOO-URNS!!!

I love technology stores, places where I can buy CD's, DVD's and the latest in electronic goods and just drool over the latest flat screens and tiny mp3 players. I usually shop at FUTURE SHOP but lately, BEST BUY has been making its presence felt so we went to check it out to get a new landline phone and a clock/cd radio. Bottom line? BEST BUY SUCKS

We asked where the phone department was and the employee had no idea, so he walked us around the store until we found it. Thanks. We then searched around and found the phone we wanted, but there were no boxed phones, only the display model, so we went to find another staff member. No luck and each time we asked one, they said "it wasn't their department" but we finally found one was nice enough to grab the proper departmental employee to help us. She informed us that the display model was the only one left and that we could get it at a discounted price since it was opened. Cool, we grabbed the phone, the radio and headed to the cashier.

Now the cashier was a piece of work, she couldn't have been older than 16 and smart like a dump truck! First off, the scanning tag on the phone wasn't working and she didn't know how to enter it manually. Instead of asking for help, she just kept trying the same thing over and over again and said "sorry, this should work". I started to laugh. Finally, she called a manager or supervisor, who took an extra five minutes to figure out why the scanning tag wasn't reading and finally entered it in manually. They added the radio, punched in the total, I handed over my credit card and then ofcourse, their credit card reader wasn't working. She had to enter that in manually and couldn't find the manual credit card press. What a disaster.

For a store that's supposed to be "leading the way" in technology sales, this place was a post-apocalyptic disaster. Poor staff, bad knowledge and malfunctioning equipment. Needless to say, they lost two customers that day as we are in no desire to return... ever. Best Buy gets a big thumbs down.

Michelle and I went to Italy for our honeymoon. We landed in Venice, went to Milan, then a wonderful week in Florence, a few days in Siena and finally, a week in Rome. The big thrill for me was introducing Michelle to my grandfather but the entire trip was top notch! Here's a select few photos that my buddy Gamble posted on his site. Check them out...
