BEST BUY??? BOO-URNS!!!

I love technology stores, places where I can buy CD's, DVD's and the latest in electronic goods and just drool over the latest flat screens and tiny mp3 players. I usually shop at FUTURE SHOP but lately, BEST BUY has been making its presence felt so we went to check it out to get a new landline phone and a clock/cd radio. Bottom line? BEST BUY SUCKS

We asked where the phone department was and the employee had no idea, so he walked us around the store until we found it. Thanks. We then searched around and found the phone we wanted, but there were no boxed phones, only the display model, so we went to find another staff member. No luck and each time we asked one, they said "it wasn't their department" but we finally found one was nice enough to grab the proper departmental employee to help us. She informed us that the display model was the only one left and that we could get it at a discounted price since it was opened. Cool, we grabbed the phone, the radio and headed to the cashier.

Now the cashier was a piece of work, she couldn't have been older than 16 and smart like a dump truck! First off, the scanning tag on the phone wasn't working and she didn't know how to enter it manually. Instead of asking for help, she just kept trying the same thing over and over again and said "sorry, this should work". I started to laugh. Finally, she called a manager or supervisor, who took an extra five minutes to figure out why the scanning tag wasn't reading and finally entered it in manually. They added the radio, punched in the total, I handed over my credit card and then ofcourse, their credit card reader wasn't working. She had to enter that in manually and couldn't find the manual credit card press. What a disaster.

For a store that's supposed to be "leading the way" in technology sales, this place was a post-apocalyptic disaster. Poor staff, bad knowledge and malfunctioning equipment. Needless to say, they lost two customers that day as we are in no desire to return... ever. Best Buy gets a big thumbs down.
