Happy Belated Birthday Sean!

I am a bad friend. On Monday, my buddy Sean celebrated his 34th birthday and I didn't call, I'm sure he was holed up in a corner somewhere in Toronto crying his little eyes out. Well my friend, you can wipe away those tears. Sean, Happy belated Birthday, I hope all is going well for you out there in TO but we miss ya back here!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME

I turned 34 this weekend and even though it's not traditionally a milestone birthday, it felt like it thanks to the kick ass day I had.

First off, Michelle woke me up with a great pancake breakfast, then we went to Hastings Park to bet on the ponies. Michelle got us the "Bud Tent" and emailed some family & friends to join us for the day. I got to meet APOLLO and ADAMA from one of my favorite shows, BATTLESTAR GALACTICA (thanks to Tim for the hook up & Chad for the pic) and at the end of the day I walked away winning $230 bucks. After that, 16 of us went for dinner at one of our favorite restaurants MUMBAI MASALA for a gigantic indian feast that left us all in a good food coma. MICHELLE took some great pics as did CHAD so just click on their names to see the snappy goodness.

Great birthday, great times and thanks to Michelle and everyone who made it such a great day!!!

365 Day Anniversary

It's been a year... one year since we got married and it feels like only yesterday since I said "I do". It's been 365 yesterdays and I don't regret any of them. Marriage is great. Let me rephrase that, marriage with Michelle is great. This year of marital bliss has been one big, fantastic adventure and I've loved every singe second of it. She challenges me (rode my first roller coaster ever thanks to her), she entertains me (ask her a Star Wars question and she how she answers), she loves me (I'll always question her taste in men). What more can a guy ask for?!?

I love my yesterdays with Michelle and I look forward to our tomorrows. Happy Anniversary Mexo, I love you!

MORE PHOTO PHUN!

It was a busy weekend for us filled with the always fun "housework" but we did manage to get to YALETOWN and AMBLESIDE for some time outside. Made the housework more bearable.

SUMMER STAFF DAY

Propaganda had a kick ass Summer Staff Day.

First off we got to choose between Paintball, ZipTrek and ATV Riding for the morning.

Then in the afternoon we went to a park and had a giant BBQ while playing softball, bocce, frisbee, soccer and football. The beer and good times went on for hours. It was a great way to spend a Friday to be sure.

I chose ATVing as I have never done it before and I loved it. If you haven't tried it, be sure to do so at your earliest convinience, it's a hum-dinger!!! Afterwards Josh and I manned the BBQ with help from Daryl and there's nothing like cooking up 88 burgers and a mutitude of smokies for a hungry mob of video game makers in the afternoon sun.

Anyway, I took a ton of pics but so did a bunch of other folks so I will link to their pics once they go online. Enjoy!!!

    MY FIRST ROOT CANAL

Hey gang, remember my earlier post about my upcoming Dental Adventure?

Well, it started today with (insert dranatic music here) the ROOT CANAL. I got into the chair about 2:00 and told the dentist about the extra nerve clusters in my jaw and about being a big baby. The dentist said "yeah yeah" and shoved the needle into my mouth, no topical gel, no warning just the needle... and then there were three more needles.

The worst thing about a root canal is not the discomfort, it's the noise. Awful! I think horror movies sound better than a root canal and since I can't open my mouth that much, the dentist kept having to stop and say "please open your mouth more". An hour later, I felt like hell and my jaw was sore even with the quart of pain killer injected into it. The dentist said "I'm giving you some Tylenol 3 because you my friend, are going to be sore"... awesome.

Overall, a root canal isn't as bad as the stories say as long as you are frozen. You are aware that something is going on but you can only feel pressure. The worst part is the noise, be sure to bring your iPod. Actually the worst part is the price... pray for dental coverage.

    Next up? Wisdom Teeth!!!
